2010 Kitchen and Bath Trends – Traditional, Cherry, Nickel
By admin on Feb 1, 2010 in Tips and Tricks
Old is new again for 2010 as the National Kitchen & Bath Association reports that traditional styles will dominate kitchen and bath design this year.
In their annual survey of designers, the association found that while traditional cabinets featuring cherry wood will dominate kitchens, a Shaker style is not far behind. Tile, porcelain, and natural stone will populate floors in kitchens and baths and brushed nickel is the fixture finish of choice for both. Granite is still the “in” countertop but quartz is closing the gap.
I don’t find these trends surprising considering economic recessions can cause people to return to perceived simpler elements; taking a step back, as it were. What do you think?
Check out the association’s site for full findings on 2010 kitchen and bath trends.
