The Energy Trust of Oregon is offering incentives of $2.25 per square foot for ENERGY STAR qualified windows. U-Value must be 0.30 or lower. Windows must be installed with a second complete measure. Thermal upgrades (attic/ceiling insulation, floor insulation, or wall insulation) must meet all program specifications and requirements to qualify as a second complete measure. Duct/Air sealing must meet maximum incentive amount to qualify as second measure.
Windows installed prior to March 1, 2007 receive incentives available for the period March 1, 2006 thru February 28, 2007: U-Value of .32 receives $1.25 per sq. ft.; U-Value .31 or less receives $2.00 per sq. ft. Window installed after March 1, 2007 receive new incentives that began on March 1, 2007: U-Value .30 or less receives $2.25 per sq. ft. Required second measures that are installed after March 1, 2007 with windows that were installed prior to March 1, 2007 will receive the new incentives. See the web site for more information |

Oregon residents with gas water heating provided by Cascade Gas or NW Natural Gas can receive a rebate equal to 30 cents per kWh of first-year energy savings, with an average estimated rebate of $600 per system. Residents with electric water heating provided by Portland General Electric or Pacific Power can receive a rebate equal to 40 cents per kWh of first-year energy savings, with an average estimated rebate of $800 per system. The State of Oregon is offering a residential income tax credit for the purchase of gas tankless water heaters with an EF of 0.80 or higher, and electric heat pump water heaters with an EF of 2.0 or higher. The tax credit is equivalent to 25 percent of purchase price or the amount listed on the Oregon Department of Energy Web site, whichever is lower.
