It’s time again for Fazzolari Custom Homes and Renovations to make an appearance at the Portland Spring Home and Garden Show. We always enjoy going to these events because we get to meet a host of great people.

We know you’re coming just to say hello to us in booth 534, but just in case you want to stick around, the 64-year-old show this year features a Showcase Gardens and The 2011 Smart House.

We had called his home Tuesday night and spoke to his wife, Tia, who graciously agreed to be an accomplice (It was her idea!) while we ambushed David on his way to work at the Bus Mall near 99th Street. We captured it on video below. David said later that he was trying to get his wife to move the car because she was blocking the entrance, but then she asked him to go get something from the back seat. That’s when we got him.

The fair will feature hundreds of vendors who can give you plenty of ideas on how to make your home, yard and garden a more beautiful, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly place. The Fazzolari team will be in booth 1409.

That means if you buy FOUR tickets to the play you get TWO FREE tickets to the Home & Garden Show this weekend. Ticket prices for “Alice” for adults are $12, children from the ages of 3-15 are $9, and Saturday is family day where all tickets are $8. Regular admission to the Home Show is $10.

The play, which has show times February 26-28 and March 5-7, is a modern “rock” musical based on the beloved “Alice in Wonderland.” We’re supporting this group because our daughter, Lauren, has a part and also because we really believe in the power of the arts to transform children from simply consumers of mass media to creative and engaged individuals.

Give us your name, how many tickets you purchased and what day you would like to attend the Home & Garden Show, which is Feb. 24-28 at the Portland Expo Center.
